Day 14 of the 30 Day Challenge "Lavender Field in Provence"

We went on a painting trip in Provence, France last June. We were at this field for about 3 hours, and I did 2 painting sketches. I finished this one in my studio. It smelled as wonderful as you can imagine, but was alive with the buzzing of bees.  There were hives there for collecting lavender honey.  The bees crawled in our hair and stung the photographers repeatedly. The views were stunning.  I want to go back!
